Navigation is Difficult in Colonoscopy
Cecal intubation is the critical first part of a successful colonoscopy.
But there are three major issues making navigation to the cecum complicated:
1. Orientation
Knowing the endoscope’s location and direction within the colon is crucial.
2. Looping
Loop formation can be painful for non-sedated patients and time-consuming for clinicians.
3. Transmission
Especially, when loops are formed, push and torque transmission to the endoscope tip are impaired.

The SCOPEPILOT EC38-i10N+ Video Colonoscope is part of the PENTAX Medical HD+ Series.
The i10 colonoscopes include next-generation megapixel CCDs for a crisp, clear, and bright HD image and together with Close Focus, allows for a detailed examination of the mucosa up to 2 mm.
The EC38-i10N+ video colonoscope series has been equipped with a new air/water nozzle design that accommodates 47% more water volume.
